WELCOME TO HICKORYOAKS WILDLIFE REFUGE

Located in South East Wisconsin near the borders of Walworth, Racine, and Kenosha counties, is home to Wild Turkey, Deer, Coyote, Gray Fox, Red Fox, Raccoon, Red Squirrel, Gray Squirrel,Blue Heron, Egrets, Red Hawks, Crow, Bluebird, Pheasant, and all the other of local species of bird and mammals.

Plant life thrives with many hundreds of large Oak such as Red, White, Burr Oak, and Hickory trees. Of course, many other species such as Poplar, Cedar, Pine, Blue Spruce, White Spruce, Willows are in abundance in the forest at the refuge.

 

Like many areas, nearby development in rampant and is converting the beautiful countryside into a plastic sided blight.

Wildlife struggles with this inhuman human invasion that has little regard for their rights or lives. Once nature is destroy and disappears, it will never be the same.
